The Woodyard
Nestled at the heart of Worstead Park is The Woodyard, a beautifully restored Georgian thatched barn and former sawmill.
Enjoy an exclusive three-day hire of The Woodyard and 300 acres of private parkland at the heart of Worstead Estate. Our historic venue has been tastefully renovated to provide all modern amenities whilst maintaining the character and history of the Georgian buildings. You and your guests will enter Worstead Park via the lime tree avenue before arriving at The Woodyard in its secluded setting surrounded by North Norfolk countryside. Bridal accommodation is opposite The Woodyard which sits alongside our traditional walled garden. You also have the option to tie the knot on our lake island complete with a boat house, summerhouse, and antique rowboat.
The Woodyard has a dining capacity of 120 guests and up to 160 guests standing.
The Thatched Barn
With its vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, Georgian brick walls and soft lighting, the Thatched Barn is our most romantic space. Working closely with you, our event management team will create a breathtaking space for an unforgettable ceremony.
Later on, when the sun is setting, enjoy after-dinner drinks on the West Terrace and your first dance in the Thatched Barn.
Lake Island
Offering a truly unique setting to say
“I do”, our lake island is a wonderfully scenic spot for a ceremony. Our newly-built summerhouse frames the bride and groom as they make their vows. The neighbouring boathouse is the mooring for the You and I, our 1930s wooden rowing boat. Brides are invited to take a quiet moment with their father as he rows her across the lake to a memorable arrival at the island.
The Mulberry Room
Forming the southern wing of The Woodyard, and once home to the sawmill which now stands just outside, The Mulberry Room is our light and bright blank canvas: perfect for creating the wedding breakfast of your dreams. Working with our event management team you can dress The Mulberry Room to reflect your personal character and style.
Alternatively host your wedding ceremony in The Mulberry Room before retiring to the Thatched Barn for a candlelit supper.

Accommodation
One of our favourite parts of hosting weddings is our ability to accommodate up to 31 of your guests across the estate, extending your celebrations across the whole of the weekend.
Our couples are given priority booking on our full range of accommodations, and our event management team would be pleased to discuss your requirements with you and make recommendations on which of our beautiful properties you might like to consider.
Holly House

Dating back to 1837, Holly House offers quintessential British hospitality on a grand scale. With luxury accommodation over three floors this the perfect location for gatherings of family and friends. Classic fireplaces, antique furniture and chandeliers; a central hall with a sweeping staircase and classic Georgian proportions. Holly House is the ideal setting for an evening celebration, with an outdoor dining area, BBQ and private hot tub for guests’ enjoyment.
Estate Cottage

Lovingly restored in its original Georgian style, Estate Cottage lies at the heart of the 300 acre Worstead Park, a stone’s throw from our beautiful wedding venue. Set within your own private walled garden, guests can relax in the private 6-seater hot tub before enjoying an al fresco dinner. For those cooler evenings snuggle up in the living room in front of the wood burner, or retire to our cosy library.
Gatehouse North

One of two gatehouses framing the original entrance to Worstead Park, Gatehouse North is located just a stone’s throw from Lime Tree Avenue. Luxury accommodation and modern-day comforts combine with a sun-soaked terrace, games room, and secluded garden with a private 6-seater hot tub. With accommodation over a single storey, Gatehouse North is the perfect getaway for families.
New Lane Cottage
Sleeps: 4 | Bedrooms: 2 | Bathrooms: 1
Our quaint and characterful grade II listed cottage is located on the edge of Worstead Estate, a short walk from the gatehouse entrance to Worstead Park. The cottage offers a wealth of character features to transport you back in time, from its chocolate-box thatched roof to its narrow winding staircase. With cosy accommodation for 2-4 guests, the cottage is ideal for couples and friends, with a private 4-seater hot tub to enjoy all year round.
Worstead Estate are now offering 3 nights for the price of 2 on all accommodation booked for your wedding weekend PLUS 5% off the venue hire for all remaining 2024 dates.
