The ceremony of your choice can take place anywhere, there are no limits. It might be your garden, the beach, a hotel, a private estate or any other venue that may be meaningful to you.

Maybe you want to do the legal side of things quietly and privately but then have a celebration ceremony, perhaps with a best man, bridesmaids, flower girls, hymns, exchanging of rings and a photographer, in fact, the works. 

Perhaps you are having a beach wedding somewhere hot or exotic and only very close family can join you, but you would like to have a bigger celebration once you are home. You can say your vows all over again, but this time with all your family and friends joining you.

It might be that it is a second marriage for one or both of you and you would like to celebrate the coming together of your families. It is lovely for step children to be involved in the ceremony and this can be done in many ways; maybe the lighting of a unity candle or the performing of a sand ceremony to symbolise the blending of your two families.
