A DAY AS UNIQUE AS YOU ARE

Winterbourne Medieval Barn is a beautiful wedding venue bursting with rustic charm. Built all the way back in 1342, the barn is a truly historic experience for your big day. We’re located just a stone’s throw away from Bristol, giving you and your guests easy access to the city while maintaining a secluded, country feel.

The Barn is suitable for a variety of weddings and receptions, with the flexibility to create the event you want. The historic interior makes the perfect backdrop for a ceremony, a sit-down meal, or a barn dance. And there’s plenty of outdoor space for garden games, drinks receptions, or even a picnic!

We are a ‘dry hire’ venue, which means you have lots of flexibility on how you plan and style your day.

This is a great opportunity if you want to get really hands-on or create something a little out of the ordinary.

If you have a specific vision for your day that doesn’t quite fit with what we’ve detailed, please do get in touch to discuss your plans, and for a bespoke quote.

The Barn is a building of national importance. The majority of the beams that make up the stunning roof structure are original. Commissioned by Thomas de Bradeston, Lord of the Manor of Winterbourne from 1328 to 1360, it was part of a larger manor complex which included St Michael’s Church, a large manor house and dovecot.
