Newcastle Castle, located in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne gives you the opportunity to host your wedding event in one of the North East’s most iconic and historic buildings.
The centuries old stone walls create a unique, jaw-dropping backdrop for a wedding day with a difference, making your special day one that will live long in the memory and it’s a chance to capture some astounding wedding photos too.
Flexibility
With our fully exclusive packages our castle becomes your castle! We pride ourselves on the freedom we give you to use the Castle as you wish, and you have the flexibility to use whichever suppliers you choose.
Our Spaces
The venue consists of the Black Gate, a 13th century gatehouse which houses the Harbottle Suite, our licensed room for civil ceremonies; and the Castle Keep, which consists of four floors plus the Roof with some of the most stunning views across the city and Tyne Valley. On the second floor of the Castle Keep is the large and atmospheric Great Hall.
While the ground-floor consists of the Gaol which is ideal for drinks receptions.
We have wedding packages to suit all budgets, from ‘ceremony only’ through to a fully exclusive package where we close our castle especially for you!
With the opportunity to create a captivating ceremony for up to 60 people, and a spellbinding reception for up to 80 people.
