The Flint Room is one of Norwich’s newest and most exciting licensed venues for celebrating a wide range of ceremonies. We offer something totally different; an alternative and affordable venue offering unique, diverse and bespoke ceremonies.


Lesley and Trish work closely with Norfolk celebrants and registrars to celebrate ‘unity in ALL its forms. ‘EVERYONE is welcome in The Flint Room’ We will enjoy making your special day one to remember and always will give you a warm and relaxed welcome. We are here to help you celebrate your wedding, and civil partnership, renew your vows, and host a baby naming ceremony as well as funeral services or celebrations of a loved one’s life, to name but a few!


The Flint Room is situated inside a beautiful and magnificent flint building in the heart of Norwich City and was a former Church in a previous life. A little piece of history... the building's former name was St John De  Sepulchre and was situated close to one of old Norwich’s city gates. It may very well be the best known of all the Norwich churches and rides high on the bluff of Ber Street. The top of its tower was once the highest point in the city.


So what are you waiting for... the former church has now been lovingly brought back to life by a small, very enthusiastic, creative and passionate team with the full support of Norwich Historic Churches Trust.

The Flint Room has been created with love in mind. Each bespoke piece has been chosen, cherished and bought with the sole purpose of making this the most unique ceremonies venue in Norwich.


Once you set a date and time and have booked any relevant parties (registrar or independent celebrant) we will secure your booking by requesting a deposit. We aim to be flexible and accommodate your requirements to the best of our abilities.

We can seat up to 120 guests on our beautiful collection of chairs and sofas (no extra hire charges) and our bespoke decor and vintage memorabilia creates a splendidly diverse setting. The grounds will be available for you and your guests to enjoy with a drink whilst photographs are taken. 


You will have full hire of the venue and grounds, caring staff to meet and greet you and your guests as well as run the bar, (should you choose to serve prosecco, for example, or soft drinks). For those on a budget, we offer a reduction in cost for a weekday ceremony and will allow you to bring your own selection of alcohol into the venue to be served behind the bar (many large supermarkets also provide free glass hire).
